A.I. art needs its own site. There is so much of it dumped here, and its creepy sameness is soul-stealing. I've seen folks refer to A.I. as "my art". Really? If you want to be an artist, do the work. Spend years, decades sketching and experimenting with different media and playing with colors and having people encourage you and discourage you. Wake up with an image in your head and spend hours and weeks trying to realize it, only to fail. Art is awesome and being an artist is awesome, even on a humble scale. Do the work, folks, feel the struggle, feel the joy.

Two weeks ago today my hard drive broke.  Just broke physically.  I lost a TON of stuff, including all of my original art, tons of photos, lots of short stories and would-be novels (I used to write for a living).  I don't upload to "The Cloud", at least not yet, because I don't trust it.  But this incident has me thinking about it.  My oldest son, who is a computer science major, swooped in and saved the day.  It took two weeks and HOURS of running recovery utilities, but he got it all back. So if these journal entries are to share how we "feel", right now I feel pretty good.  I have A LOT of unfinished work back again, and an updated versio
